The Foxes travelled to take on Shirehampton and, in beautiful Autumn sunshine,
started the brighter. The Foxes played some lovely possession football but chances on goal were
proving hard to come by until a fine pass from Omar released Ollie C
who finished well to open the scoring.
After a quick tactical change the Foxes looked more dangerous. Sam
played in Omar who scored the second. Then a fine corner
from Sam lead to an own goal off an unlucky Shire head.
In the second half Omar completed his hat-trick with another two good
finishes with Ollie S and Harry claiming the
assists. Shire, however, was not going to go down without a fight and they clawed
one back with a classy free kick from the edge of the area and for the next 10
minutes the Colts had the upper hand but a top notch strike from
the Foxes Sonny settled the nerves and Westbury Park closed out a 6-1
victory.
Omar was the players man of the match, while Danny took the
coaches award for a hard working and creative turn in central midfield.
