Well what to say.
A lovely evening. A perfect pitch. A squad fully focussed on the task in hand.
Some really eye catching football, a series of chances, some impressive - if at times last ditch defending - from Bishopston plus some great saves from their keeper and a busy night for their woodwork.
The game was decided by pretty much Bishopston's only shot on target and that from a penalty. Even when that goal went in mid way through the first half it felt as if the Foxes were bound to score but it was not to be. A great example in the second half was a flying header from Finlay that seemed destined for the top corner until the keeper clawed it away.
It ended being one of those nights which had a 'how did that happen' sense about it.
What it did showcase, however, was the quality and team spirit of a squad that is full of great lads. Well done to Bishopston for holding on, but greater praise for the Foxes for playing so well across 80 minutes. A performance that typified the way we played this season but a result that didn't go our way.
Well played all.
