Year 2 Foxes enjoy romp against Bishop Road 9 May

18 eager little Foxes turned up on a sunny Saturday morning for a re-scheduled friendly against Bishop Road. In contrast to many of the teams we play, Bishop Road is a developing team that, like Westbury Park, is based on a local school. So the emphasis was very much on playing in a sporting spirit and everyone enjoying the games. The players were split into 2 squads. They played 2 matches each.

Orange Squad (Coach - Colin)
Isaac, Matthew, Jack, Monty, Billy, Joseph, Jago, Stanley, Harrison.

Green Squad (Coach - Rob)
Ludo, William LP, Henry, Josh, Sam, TJ, Teya, Eddie, Brody.

On a fast, flat surface the Foxes could play their emerging passing game. With good ball control, the Foxes dominated all their matches and the goals flowed. Bishop Road tried hard in all their games. Only some excellent defending and goal-keeping kept the Foxes at bay.

The headline results were - played 4, won 4:

Match 1 - Orange Squad
Foxes won 6:0
Goals - OG, Jago, Joseph, Stanley, Harrison x2.

Match 2 - Green Squad
Foxes won 7:1
Goals - TJ, Sam, Ludo, William LP, Josh x3.

Match 3 - Orange Squad
Foxes won 5:0
Goals - Jago, Joseph x2, Harrisonx2.

Match 4 - Green Squad
Foxes won 4:0
Goals - Eddie, Sam, Josh x2.

Players of the week - Josh, Joseph.

Well done to all the Foxes that played!!
