BSYL Yr 10 - Foxes 3 - 1 Ashley Down, 07/11/15

On a wild and windy day the Foxes went back to joint-top of the table with a hard fought win over Ashley Down.

We were delighted that the game was at home and on the 3G at St Bedes, which as always played perfectly. The swirling wind, however, made conditions tricky for both sides.

The Foxes benefitted from keeping the ball on the floor and where well worth their 3-0 lead at half time, although perhaps we should have scored more based on our dominance. The three goals resulted from great team work, with Joe involved in all and assists by Harri, Henry and Ollie C being finished by Omar and Jack.

The second half was much more scrappy as the rain got heavier and Ashley Down created more chances than in the first 40 minutes, scoring a well worked goal and Owen making two fine saves. The Foxes had their own chances but failed to add to their tally, something we need to work on in training.
