Y3 versus Rockleaze

Overall Result: Won 2, Drew 2, Lost 2

Colin's Team : Caston, Jack, Ludo, William w, William l p, Henry, Josh, TJ, Harrison

3 terrific games of football against a strong Rockleaze outfit 0-0, 0-0 and a 2-0 victory a strong defensive performance meant we kept 3 clean sheets. Jack displaying some robust confident tackling and William W's calm and confident clearing of the ball to dispel any danger from the Rockleaze attack. Tj swept seamlessly between defence and attack offering strong options in both areas. a strong midfield and attacking line allowed the foxes to attack through the middle or up the wings. Ludo and Caston providing strong runs into the heart of the Rockleaze defense. William L P troubled the reds with some great balls through. Josh , Henry and Harrison linking well together with some powerful shots at goal. It wasn't until the final game that the deadlock was finally broken with a thunderous, cracking free kick from Harrison, followed soon after by a lovely through ball from Josh for Harrison to chip the Rockleaze keeper rounding off a well earned victory. A great game for the foxes with fantastic performances from ALL the team, lovely passing and battling. Well done!

"Man of the Match" award: William W for his great defensive work & Harrison for some great work up front.

Rob's Team : Jago, Eddy, Brody, Joseph, Billy, Isaac, Stanley, Ewan, Matthew

Result 1-2, 1-0, 0-2

In all three games we played very good football, with each match being a fairly even contest. I felt we were unlucky to loose the first and the last matches, perhaps a little tiredness had crept in by the end. Jago, Billy and Ewan had great games in goal, a big thank you since we were missing a natural "volunteer" goal keeper in the squad today. Billy pulled off a particularly fine save at point blank range. Eddy, Isaac and Matthew showed their fine defensive awareness, all three showing confidence on the ball to pass their way out of trouble and not concede possession unnecessarily. With Rockleaze never really getting the upper hand we were unlucky to loose two of the games. Ewan and Jago worked hard in mid field, Jago ran his socks off as usual and Ewan stood out for his unselfish passing. Brody battled for the ball everywhere. Stanley and Joseph were busy up front causing all sorts of problems with their speed and fine ball control. Goal scorers and "Man of the Match" awards were Joesph and Billy.
