BSYL - yr 7 - Shire Colts 4 - 4 Foxes

This was a game where the Foxes' performance could best be described as 'mixed'.

Shirehampton entered the game pointless and left with the draw, scoring in the first and the last minute, to deny us the victory which had seemed certain for most of the second half.


Shire started the scoring straight from the first whistle as the sleepy Foxes were caught napping. They went further ahead from a defensive slip and although Danny smashed a shot into the top corner to bring the Foxes back in to it, another slip at the back took the score to 3-1.

Thankfully this woke the Foxes and the score was 3-3 at half time through well taken goals by Omar and Danny again. The whole team started to click and the defence worked out how to handle Shire's nippy forward line.

The second half started as the first had finished with the Foxes being the stronger team but we could only convert one of the many chances that we created, when Sam L finished off a great solo run. Sadly we could not score what would have been a decisive fifth and a Shire equalised through a last gasp penalty.
