Year Three Boys vs Rockleaze Rangers, 31st January

The Foxes travelled to Stoke Lodge to play Rockleaze Rangers. Unusually we played only two games (each 'squad' playing once each) of 40 minutes each and on such a cold day those playing in the second game had to be kept moving just to avoid hypothermia setting in.

We lost the first game narrowly 2-1 but we dominated spells and missed a penalty before cool-hand Archie slotted home a second penalty like a professional, er, penalty taker.

The second was a very competitive and exciting 1-1. Highlights included an inspired substitution from Dave "Fabertong" Capello, bringing Jack back on, who was then involved in a slick passing move which led to Sonny's equaliser. There was also some sterling work in defence from OllieC, Owen and Aidan, and Nicholas in goal in the second half.

The coaches report that everyone did really well and coming after wins against Long Ashton and Sefton Scorpions showed that we were playing with a great deal of confidence. This was possibly one of our best ever showings, against one of the best squads we've played against.

Well done all.
