Year 2s vs Shire Colts, 24th October

We are learning fast! This week Year 2s played two matches against Shire Colts in their last fixture for a few weeks. Over two close games, our squads tackled and passed like never before against a strong Shire Colts side.

In the first match, Shire Colts quickly moved into a 3-0 lead and we feared the worst. Then, led from the back by Sam G and Dom, the Foxes fought back with Sam D fearless all over the pitch. Goals from Monty and India closed the gap but unfortunately time ran out before we could find an equaliser. In the second game, the opposite happened - Josh and Ben put the Foxes into an early lead and then the team survived a Shire Colts fightback to squeak home the winners. Special mention to two recent recruits, Ella and Jack B, who epitomised the team's development with their confident, committed play.
