Year 6 Foxes off to winning ways against Bishop Road

Despite the freezing rain, the howling wind and the absence of the big fella Paul (co-head coach etc etc) on 3 October, the year 6 boys did well in an entertaining series of matches played in great spirit against Bishop Road.

Simon Kerfoot took charge of a team in Paul's absence and masterminded two good perfomances with a 4-0 and a 4-1 win. Gabe, Ben, Jack and Lukha scored in both games.

In the other matches the Foxes found goals hard to come by with Joe being especially unlucky in both matches coming up against either the woodwork or inspired goalkeeping on many occasions. The first match ended 0-0 and in the second Oliver W eventually broke through in the second half with a tap in from a flowing passing move and then with just seconds to go firing in a second from a quick counter as Bishop Road pressed for an equaliser. 2-0 it finished.

Well done to everyone who braved the elements especially as we were at RGS with no cafe in sight!
